Lacrosse came from the Native Americans who would play the game as a substitute for war against other tribes and as a means of healing.
There is an origin story of how the game was created by the animals of the earth. These animals showed individuality in strengths that highlight their attributes. Native Americans will call upon a specific spirit animal to give them guidance during a game.
With the history and origin in mind I wanted to create a lacrosse brand that pays tribute to the Native American culture and their respect for the game of lacrosse.
Using inspiration from the mesh of the stick and Native American textiles I was able to create a set of symbols that maintains itself throughout the brand.
